Artist Statement:
In the words of Civil Rights revolutionist Huey P Newton, I am a revolutionary. I am the vision and dream that my ancestors before me paved the way for. Artistically, I am poetry in motion, I am a raging tide in a sea of calm waters. I am David in the lion’s den, and I use my art as a remedy for what ails me. I don’t go down the road less traveled cause I don’t undermine the hard work my family has made to lighten the load of my long journey. I strive to be the key that opens the doors to opportunities for those to come after me.
